Frequently Asked Questions

We know that navigating disability support and the NDIS can raise a lot of questions. Here are the ones we hear most often.

What exactly does 'NDIS registered provider' mean, and why does it matter?

NDIS registration means we’ve been assessed and approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, an independent government body that sets and monitors standards for participant safety, service quality, and rights protection. Choosing a registered provider like Limitless Horizons (Reg No. 4-KY8IFF4) means you have formal protections and recourse available to you, something that’s not guaranteed with unregistered providers.

Start by calling us. You don’t need to have anything figured out first. We’ve helped many participants and families navigate the NDIS from the very beginning, and we can explain the access process, help you understand what evidence you’ll need, and connect you with the right contacts. The NDIS can feel overwhelming from the outside, but it’s much more manageable with someone knowledgeable by your side.

Yes, and it’s simpler than most people realise. As an NDIS participant, you have the right to change providers or add new providers to your plan at any time. We manage the service agreement process on our end, and with a bit of coordination, the transition is usually very smooth.

No. You can contact us directly without a support coordinator. Many of our participants self-refer or are referred by family members. If you do have a support coordinator, we work closely with them to ensure your services are well-integrated with your overall plan.

We treat matching as one of the most important parts of our process, because we know the relationship between a participant and their support worker is what makes or breaks the experience. We consider communication style, personality, cultural background, gender preferences, shared interests, and specific support needs. You’ll always meet your support worker before they start, and if the match isn’t right at any point, we sort it quickly and without making it uncomfortable for anyone.

Your plan changes with you. We build scheduled reviews into every support arrangement, but you don’t need to wait for a formal review if something needs to change sooner. Just call us. We’re responsive, flexible, and we’d much rather adjust quickly than have you receiving support that no longer fits.

Absolutely, and we actively encourage it where the participant wants that involvement. Family members, partners, and informal carers often have crucial insights that help us design better, more relevant support. We’ll always take our lead from the participant on how much family involvement they want, and we respect that boundary completely.

We work hard to move quickly. For participants with an existing NDIS plan, we can often have a service agreement in place and support scheduled within a week. For new participants or those transitioning between providers, we’ll give you a realistic timeline at our initial consultation so there are no surprises.

We want to know immediately. Feedback, including difficult feedback, is how we improve. We have a formal complaints and feedback process, but you’re also welcome to call us directly. If the issue involves a specific support worker, we act promptly and discreetly. You won’t be made to feel difficult for raising a concern. We genuinely welcome it.

None at all. Your first consultation is completely free and carries no obligation whatsoever. It’s simply a conversation so we can understand your situation and so you can decide whether we’re the right fit for you. No sales pressure, and we’ll be honest with you even if that means pointing you somewhere else.
